The Glasgow Caledonian University
catering operation provides a diverse catering
service to over 15,000 students and 1,600 staff.
The student refectory seats
900 people and is the largest single student refectory
in Scotland. The operation is managed by Frank
McCabe, General Manager, supported by a management
team of six. The team has a combined food service
and management experience of over 100 years making
them one of Scotland's strongest and most formidable
University catering management teams.

Turnover is approximately
£1.5 million per annum. Glasgow City Council's
Direct and Care Services department oversees the
contract, this ensures the contract is supported
in terms of financial, personnel, marketing and
IT expertise.
Over 50 staff are employed
including four fully qualified and highly experienced
chefs led by Head Chef Ian Fulton.
